Thermae Bath Spa | Review.

Hi everyone!

My partner and I took a spontaneous trip to Thermae Bath Spa after thoroughly enjoying it the first time we went which was last year and it's honestly so worth a trip! Due to the spontaneous decision I, of course hadn't packed a bikini as I was visiting him (he lives here whilst attending university). We went down to SouthGate where I found the loveliest little bikini in H&M. I'm not usually the type to spend a lot of money on bikinis because they tend to get worn once a year. But I thought this little number was so worth the price;
  • The top was £9.99
  • The bottoms were £6.99
One of my favourite ways to style bikinis is to mix and match them. If you have the perfect pair of black bottoms you can honestly style them with any top half and that way you also save money as I find buying sets a little too expensive.

Now onto the actual spa.
The first time we went it was a little daunting (but just as fun) as we had no idea what to do or where to go. However the second time was super enjoyable as we knew our way around. We went first thing on a Sunday morning - it was still busy but personally I don't think you could ever go and expect it to be quiet. Something we love to do is to work our way down from the top. The first pool is an open-air rooftop so it's great when the weather is nice with a relaxing view of the city. Next stop down is the aroma steam rooms which we absolutely love! If I remember correctly there are 4, including a rainforest shower in the centre of them all. Our favourite is the teatree room. The final destination is the downstairs pool known as 'minerva bath' which is a lot larger and so relaxing with the swimming pool noodles. Just to point out on both occasions we did the 2 hour slot (£27) which does not include any treatments. You also have the option of visiting the springs cafĂ© restaurant which doesn't take time out from your session which is great. You're also allowed an extra 1/2 hour at the end to get dressed and ready to leave so once again that doesn't affect your 2 hours within the spa.

Here is a better insight into the pools which I have taken off the actual site,
Open-air Rooftop Pool
By day and by night, enjoy spectacular views over the City of Bath and surrounding hills. The naturally warm, mineral-rich waters are enhanced by air seats and bubbling jets.
Minerva Bath
Named after the Roman Goddess of Health & Wisdom, this is the largest of the thermal baths. Distinguished by flowing curves and grand columns, the thermal waters are complemented by an invigorating massage jet and whirlpool.
Aroma Steam Rooms
Breathe in the soothing vapours of the steam rooms, each of which is infused with an aromatic essence such as lotus flower or eucalyptus mint. A central ‘waterfall’ shower, interspersed with fibre optic lighting, provides a variety of sensations from the lightest misting of water to an invigorating tropical shower.

We would 100% recommend this place to anyone if you're interested in going along. Even without the treatments we still manage to have a ball, although maybe next time we'll squeeze one in .. or two!
Hope you all enjoyed this review and please feel free to ask any questions :)
